Task Essential Skin Care Reviewed

In a previous post I mentioned I’d recently purchased some Task Essential skin care products from a Gilt Groupe sale.

I’ve been evaluating these products over the last couple weeks. Overall, they’re good products, but I probably won’t purchase again.

The line has a very herbal scent to it; reminds me of Aveda, and there’s nothing I loathe more (not Aveda, just the smell).

Task Essential is formulated with plant and fruit extracts as well as vitamins. I do believe the line will benefit your skin, but I just can’t get past the smell and product consistency in some of the items.

The Keep Fresh Deodorant Stick is aluminum and paraben-free as well hypoallergenic, so it’s great for those with sensitive skin. The deodorant is however a solid and rolls on a little clumpy but dissolves eventually–still, a no-can-do for me.

Next, the Skin Feed O2 Moisturizing Agent I really didn’t care for; made my face feel sticky. I tend to like face moisturizes that dry, leaving your skin smooth and moisturized. This may work better in the winter months when the air is more dry.

Lastly, the Wash Off Shower Gel was pretty good. It’s designed for hair and body, though I wouldn’t use this regurlarly in my hair, as it’s not as nutrititive as my other shampoos. I do think think this is great for showering after your gym workout. It seems to be very concentrated, so a little goes a long way.
