A couple years ago I began taking Propecia to treat my thinning hair. Unfortunately, my impatience got the best of me, and I stopped taking the medication after about 6 months. Now, I’m realizing now that I really need to stay the course.

The first 30 days have been pretty good. I’ve not experienced any negative side effects. However, two years ago, I did experience a decreased libido, but that has not been the case this time around. In fact, I’m noticing this time that my hair is growing much faster.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress and plan to stay the course this time. I’m anxiously following the developments with Dutasteride–a new prescription drug that may be approved to treat hair loss and supposedly much more effective than Propecia.
